<p>This study aims to describe the managerial competencies of the madrasah principal, teacher performance, and the managerial competencies of the madrasah principal in improving teacher performance at MTs Hidayatul Hikmah, Bunga Tanjung Village, Betara District. This research employs a qualitative approach with field research as the type of study. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and data triangulation to ensure the validity of the findings. The results showed that the madrasah principal has implemented four functions of managerial competence, namely: planning work programs through collective meetings with staff, organizing by creating a clear organizational structure, implementing work programs according to plan, and supervising teacher performance directly every six months and indirectly without prior notice. Teacher performance has been carried out well across three main indicators: the ability to plan learning through the preparation of syllabi and lesson plans, the ability to implement learning with good mastery of material and classroom management although the lecture method remains dominant, and the ability to conduct learning evaluation through assignment-giving and periodic assessments. The madrasah principal's efforts to improve teacher performance include involving teachers as members of the Madrasah Working Group (KKM), encouraging teachers to participate in the Free Test of the Teacher Professional Education program (PPG), and providing full support to teachers pursuing further education at the master's level (S2). <p>This study aims to describe the efforts of the Madrasah Head in maintaining the existence of Tsanawiyah Madrasah, identify the obstacles faced, and discover the solutions implemented at MTs PHI Bangun Jaya, Betara District. This research employed a qualitative approach using participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The informants included the Madrasah Head, teachers, students, alumni, and community members. The findings revealed that the Madrasah Head's efforts comprised two main strategies: first, promotion through distributing brochures and introducing religious activities (congregational Dhuha prayer, Yasin recitation, muhadharah) as well as extracurricular activities (scouting and pencak silat); second, repairing and developing school facilities such as room renovation, physical damage repair, and building more decent toilets. The obstacles faced included insufficient school funding, post-Covid-19 pandemic changes in student behavior characterized by decreased enthusiasm and difficulty in being disciplined, as well as community preferences for sending their children to Islamic boarding schools or public schools due to reasons of religious deepening or fear of losing KIS assistance. The solutions implemented were providing continuous motivation and advice to students and establishing close cooperation with alumni, parents, and the community through a mutual cooperation approach. <p>This study aims to describe the implementation of the Super Memory System method in improving students' memory retention in the Local Content subject at MTs Swasta Nurul Khairiyah Mendahara Ulu, as well as to identify the obstacles and efforts to overcome them. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include participatory observation, semi-structured interviews with the school principal, Local Content subject teacher, and students, as well as documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of the Super Memory System method has been carried out well through systematic preparation stages and structured learning implementation over two meetings, including brain gym, the use of concept maps, group division based on material names, discussions, presentations, simulations, and evaluations through written and oral tests. Students responded positively because this method is enjoyable and helps them remember the material for longer periods. The obstacles faced include internal factors (lack of interest and motivation, cognitive issues in working memory) and external factors (inappropriate timing, less conducive learning environment). Efforts to overcome these obstacles include increasing motivation through rewards, activating the brain with brain gym and repetition techniques, scheduling learning in the morning, and creating a comfortable and quiet learning environment. This study concludes that the Super Memory System method is effective in improving students' memory retention when supported by teacher creativity, proper time management, and a conducive learning environment.</p>Saipuddin

<p>This study aims to describe the teacher's strategies in guiding dyslexic students in the subject of Al-Qur'an Hadith at MTs Nurussa'adah Sungai Saren, as well as to identify the supporting factors, inhibiting factors, and efforts made by the teacher. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection techniques were carried out through participant observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, the Al-Qur'an Hadith subject teacher, and seventh and eighth-grade students identified as having dyslexia, as well as documentary studies. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the teacher's strategy was implemented through three stages: the preliminary stage (pre-instructional), the teaching stage (instructional), and the evaluation and follow-up stage, using lecture, question-and-answer, discussion, demonstration, drill, and Iqra' methods. The inhibiting factors faced by the teacher included a lack of parental attention, limited learning time allocation (2 x 40 minutes per week), and low student interest. The supporting factors included the teacher's experience, the existence of a special guidance program outside of school hours, and a conducive madrasah environment. The efforts made by the teacher included building cooperation with parents, adding lesson hours through special guidance, and providing consistent learning motivation. <p>This study aims to describe the role of the Parit Bilal Village Library in increasing reading interest among students, identify the obstacles faced, and discover the efforts made to overcome these obstacles. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The informants included the Village Head, library staff, library members, and students in Parit Bilal Village, Pengabuan District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. The findings revealed that the Parit Bilal Village Library has four main roles: as a source of information, a place for storing collections, a healthy and innovative recreation place, and a facilitator and motivator for visitors. The obstacles faced include the library's less strategic location because it is located inside the village office and merges with the guest room, causing discomfort, the lack of varied book collections that match students' interests, and the low reading interest originating from the students themselves who are more interested in modern entertainment media such as television and gadgets. The efforts made to overcome these obstacles include adding and beautifying book variations and conducting book reviews on social media, providing comfort through room decoration and friendly librarian services, and conducting socialization and promotion of the library to the community and young people. This study concludes that optimizing the role of the village library in increasing students' reading interest requires adequate infrastructure support, competent human resources, and planned and sustainable literacy programs.</p>Rifa’i
