Generative AI Policy

Authors are required to disclose the use of generative AI in the writing process when submitting a manuscript. The following guidelines specifically address the use of AI in the writing process and do not apply to the use of AI tools for data analysis or research insights:

  1. Language and Readability Enhancement: Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies should only be used to improve the readability and language quality of the manuscript.
  2. Human Responsibility and Oversight: The use of these tools must be done under human supervision. Authors should carefully review and edit the results, as AI can produce content that appears authoritative but may be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. Authors retain full responsibility for all content of their work.
  3. Authorship: AI and AI-assisted technologies should not be listed or cited as authors or co-authors, as authorship entails responsibilities that only humans can fulfill.

Use Declaration: Authors must disclose the use of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process by including a statement at the end of the manuscript upon initial submission. This statement will be included in the published version of the paper and should be placed in a new section before the reference list.

Declaration Format:

  • New Section Title: Declaration on the Use of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies in the Writing Process
  • Statement Content: "During the preparation of this work, the author used [TOOL/SERVICE NAME] for [PURPOSE OF USE]. After using this tool/service, the author thoroughly reviewed and edited the content and is fully responsible for the final content of the published article."

This declaration is not required for the use of basic tools, such as grammar or spelling checkers and reference managers. If no generative AI or AI-assisted technologies are used, no declaration is required.

Important Note: To safeguard the confidentiality and intellectual property rights of authors, this journal currently prohibits the use of generative AI or AI-assisted tools (such as ChatGPT) by reviewers or editors during the manuscript evaluation and peer review process. The journal is exploring appropriate AI tools and may update this policy in the future
