Publication Ethics
Educa Review: Journal of Educational Sciences and Teacher Education is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic publication ethics to ensure that all published articles maintain academic integrity and originality. This journal follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in managing publication ethics. Therefore, all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, reviewers, and members of the editorial team, are expected to fully comply with our policies regarding publication ethics, publication malpractice, and to respect the following statements:
Ethical Guidelines for Editors
- Editors must evaluate manuscripts solely on the basis of their academic merit. Editors must not use unpublished information from submitted manuscripts for their own research without the author’s explicit written consent.
- Editors must ensure that every manuscript submitted to the journal is evaluated based on its intellectual content without regard to gender, race, religion, nationality, or other backgrounds of the authors.
- Editors must preserve the integrity of the publication review process. Therefore, editors must not disclose the identity of authors to reviewers or the identity of reviewers to authors.
- Editors must ensure that all information related to submitted manuscripts remains confidential prior to publication.
Ethical Guidelines for Reviewers
- Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.
- Reviewers must not have conflicts of interest regarding the research, authors, or research funding.
- Reviews should be conducted as objectively as possible. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Reviewers should express their views clearly and support them with arguments.
- If reviewers believe they are unable to complete the review within the specified time, they should notify the editor so that the manuscript can be assigned to another reviewer.
Ethical Guidelines for Authors
- Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original, and if they have used the work or words of others, proper acknowledgment must be given. Plagiarism in any form constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
- Authors must ensure that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
- Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research. The corresponding author must ensure that all appropriate co-authors are included and that no inappropriate co-authors are listed. All co-authors must have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript and agreed to its submission for publication.
- If authors discover significant errors or inaccuracies in their manuscript at any stage, they must promptly notify the editor. If the editor or publisher is informed by a third party that a published work contains significant errors, the authors are obligated to promptly retract or correct the paper or provide evidence to the editor regarding the accuracy of the original work.
Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Prevention
This journal strictly rejects all forms of plagiarism and self-plagiarism. Every manuscript will be checked using plagiarism detection software before proceeding to the review stage. Articles with a similarity index above 15% will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected
