Peer Review Process
Jurnal Komunika Review: Journal of Social, Media, Communication, and Islamic Broadcasting implements a peer-review process using a double-blind system, in which the identities of the authors and reviewers are kept confidential to maintain objectivity in manuscript evaluation. The review process follows the steps below:
Initial Check by the Editor:

Each submitted manuscript will be reviewed by the editorial team to ensure its alignment with the journal's focus and scope, as well as compliance with the author guidelines.

Manuscripts that do not meet the standards or are deemed irrelevant will be returned to the author before proceeding to the review stage.
Assignment of Reviewers:

Manuscripts that pass the initial check will be sent to two reviewers who possess expertise relevant to the topic discussed in the article, particularly in the fields of social studies, media, communication, and Islamic broadcasting.

Reviewers are selected based on their academic track record and research experience in the relevant fields.
Review Process:

Reviewers will assess the manuscript based on originality, scientific contribution, research methodology, relevance to the fields of social studies, media, communication, and Islamic broadcasting, as well as compliance with academic standards.

Reviewers may provide one of the following recommendations:

✅ Accepted without revision

✅ Accepted with minor revisions

✅ Accepted with major revisions

❌ Rejected

Final Decision:

The editor will consider the reviewers' recommendations before making a final decision on the manuscript.

If revisions are required, the author will be given time to revise the manuscript based on the feedback from the reviewers.
Publication:

Manuscripts that have been revised and approved by the editor will be scheduled for publication in an appropriate journal issue.
Peer Review Policy

The review process takes approximately 4–8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the manuscript and the responsiveness of the reviewers.

The journal does not accept manuscripts that have been published or are under review elsewhere.

Any form of plagiarism will be strictly penalized, and manuscripts found to contain plagiarism will be automatically rejected.
